Beautiful State Parks near Bandera

Offering 36 miles of mixed-use trails ideal for horseback riding, hiking, backpacking, primitive camping, and mountain biking, this 5000+ acre state park is great for watching wildlife, birding, swimming and fishing in the creek.  About 11 miles from Bandera.

Hill Country State Natural Area

Canyons, cliffs, woodlands, and a spectacular fall show when the Big-Tooth Maple trees turn vivid autumn colors.  This is a 2000+ acre National Natural Landmark that shouldn't be missed.  About 39 miles from Bandera.

Lost Maples State Natural Area

Enjoy boating, hiking, cycling, birdwatching and more on this 500+ acre park on the wide green Guadalupe River. About 20 miles from Bandera.

Kerrville Schreiner Park

The gorgeous Frio River is the centerpiece of this 1400+ acre state park, but there's also great hiking, biking, events, and more.  About 49 miles from Bandera.
